It is reported that 'The Office' and 'Sherlock' star Martin Freeman is the frontrunner to play Bilbo Baggins in the big screen adaptation of JRR Tolkien's 'The Hobbit'.
An Entertainment Weekly exclusive says Freeman reportedly turned down the role due to his filming commitments on 'Sherlock' but that a new offer has been made which would suit his schedule.
Ian Holm played the older Bilbo in the previous 'Lord of the Rings' films.
