Departing 'EastEnders' star Emer Kenny has said the "door is open" for her to return to the BBC soap in the future.
Warning: spoiler alert!
Kenny first appeared as Zsa Zsa Carter in the online spin-off series 'EastEnders: E20' and has now finished filming on the BBC One show.
The Press Association reports that when asked about her exit storyline Kenny replied: "All I can say is it's a very Zsa Zsa ending and it suits the character. The door is open, which is very nice - I'd absolutely consider going back."
'EastEnders' bosses have dismissed reports that Kenny was axed from the show and said it was her decision to leave.
Of leaving the soap, she said: "It was really emotional. It's just like leaving behind a massive family. I really miss it but onwards and upwards."
The actress also wrote the first episode of the second series of 'EastEnders: E20', which will be shown on the soap's website and BBC Three.
"I really wanted it to start with a bang," she said. "As soon as you come in it's exciting, there's sex and romance and kissing. I wanted it to be really fresh."
The first episode features Zsa Zsa and other characters from the first series, so that the two seasons are linked.
"It's just a tiny moment," said Kenny. "I don't play a significant part. I just wanted to have the old one coming into contact with the new one and the passing the baton."
