Former 'EastEnders' favourite Nigel Harman has joined the cast of the upcoming 'Shrek the Musical' in the West End.

The BBC reports that Harman will play Lord Farquaad, and joins 'Four Lions' star Nigel Lindsay (Shrek), 'Britain's Got Talent' judge Amanda Holden (Princess Fiona) and comedian Richard Blackwood (Donkey) in the show, which opens at the Theatre Royal in May 2011.

The producers of the musical, Bill Damaschke and Caro Newling, said the actors "blew us away with their audition performances".
