Cheryl and Ashley Cole have been granted a divorce at London's High Court today.
According to BBC News, the decree nisi was granted by District Judge Christopher Simmonds, on the grounds of Ashley Cole's admitted unreasonable behaviour.
Reports suggest that neither party attended the court today when the decree nisi was granted, ending their four-year marriage.
Singer and 'X Factor' judge Cheryl Cole is currently spending time in the United States.
A source is quoted as saying "She just wants to move on with her life and getting the divorce done will end a very painful chapter."
She filed for a divorce from her footballer husband in May on the grounds of unreasonable behaviour.
The process was held up after the singer became ill during the summer with malaria.
