'X Factor' judge Cheryl Cole has reportedly started to develop an American accent because of the amount of time she is spending in Los Angeles.
According to The Sun, Cole's friend Derek Hough has been teasing her about using American phrases.
A source said: "Cheryl has developed a slight American accent while she's been there but it's still a long way off sounding like she's not from Newcastle."
"Derek has been mocking her about a few phrases, and he also does a good impression of her voice now."
Cole and Hough are rumoured to be dating but neither have confirmed the reports.
