'Home and Away' star Ray Meagher has explained the relationship that exists between Alf and Marilyn in the show.
Speaking to Inside Soap, the actor, who plays Alf in the soap, said: "I think they're wonderful friends more than anything - they care very much for one another and there's a lot of respect there, but I can't see them being paired up."
"I think Marilyn's had her older man already with her ex-husband Don Fisher."
Speaking about the actress who plays Marilyn, he said: "Emily Symons is a wonderful girl, though, and I really love working with her."
Home and Away returns to RTÉ Two on September 6.
