'Coronation Street' star Jennie McAlpine has said that fans of the soap still love her on-screen husband John Stape, despite the fact that he is always in trouble.
According to Inside Soap, the actress, who plays Fiz in the show, said: "People will come up to me and say, 'Ooh, that John, he's a one - but isn't he lovely?' They're really glad that Fiz and John got married."
"It doesn't matter what he does on screen, they still think he's nice."
"I reckon Graeme Hawley, the actor who plays him, must be hypnotising the audience through their television sets to make them like him!"
