Fans of 'Cougar Town' could see things hotting up for Laurie (Busy Philipps) on the romance front next season.

Sources told Entertainment Weekly that Ryan Devlin is close to reprising his role as Laurie's boyfriend lawyer Smith for multiple episodes in the new series.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, the show's executive producer, Bill Lawrence, said of Smith: "I enjoy him, so I think I want him to still be in our world. But I don’t know if [Laurie's] going to be [with him] the whole year."
