It is reported that singer and actress Jessica Simpson is in talks to replace Simon Cowell as a judge on 'American Idol'.
TMZ.com says Simpson has met the bosses of the show several times and there is "mutual interest" in her becoming a judge.
Other names that have been linked to the judging role include Chris Isaak, Bret Michaels, Donald Trump, Usher, Elton John and Justin Timberlake, with representatives for John and Timberlake denying the story.
