'Emmerdale' star Duncan Preston is set to take a break from the soap in order to star in a play.
According to Digital Spy, an ITV spokesperson confirmed that the actor, who plays Doug Potts in the show, will leave for five months in order to star in a production of 'To Kill A Mockingbird'.
Preston will reportedly leave the show next January.
