Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz took part in a Top Gear challenge yesterday with Diaz’s car coming to an abrupt stop during her lap, according to reports.
The Daily Mail reports the pair took part in the 'Star In A Reasonably-priced Car' challenge for the popular BBC motoring show. They were pitted against each other and the celebrity leaderboard to record the fastest lap. Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint currently tops the leaderboard.
The two received initial training from Top Gear’s Stig before driving around the track solo. However Diaz came to a halt during her lap with the car’s gear box reportedly making crunching sounds. Mechanics later worked on the car and it is unclear if the actress got to complete the lap.
The pair will be seen on this Sunday’s episode of the show.
Cruise and Diaz are in Britain to promote their new film, 'Knight and Day' and last night attended the premiere at London's Leicester Square.
