It is reported that 'Wicked Game' singer Chris Isaak is among the main contenders to replace Simon Cowell on 'American Idol'.
The Hollywood Reporter says the 54-year-old has met US TV network Fox twice about the job.
It is reported that singer Harry Connick Jr has also been considered for the judging role, but sources told the trade daily that Poison singer Bret Michaels is out of the running.
Fox has said it expects the new judge to be appointed by early September.
