It is reported that the BBC wants former world boxing champion Frank Bruno for the new series of 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The People says the 48-year-old is the latest celebrity to be linked with the show.

Last week sources said former MP Ann Widdecombe and actress Felicity Kendall had signed up for the series, while rugby star Gavin Henson was in talks.

The Sunday Telegraph has said the BBC plans to replace fixed fees for the series with pay which will be determined by how long the celebrities stay in the competition.

A BBC spokesman said: "We don't comment on salaries or salary structure, but we are committed to getting value for money in all areas of production, and of course, providing fantastic entertainment."

In an interview last week Bruce Forsyth said he expected he would return as host of the BBC One show.
