'Once and Again' star Sela Ward is to be the new female lead opposite Gary Sinise in 'CSI: NY'.
The Emmy and Golden Globe winner replaces Melina Kanakaredes who has decided to leave the series after six seasons.
In a statement, the executive producer of 'CSI: NY' Pam Veasey said: "We are delighted to have Sela joining 'CSI: NY'. With the exciting stories planned for Season 7, she'll be a dynamic addition to the cast and the team."
Ward will play a veteran investigator from Washington DC and her character will appear in the first episode of the new season.
