There is speculation that actor Rainn Wilson will be getting a promotion on the American comedy series 'The Office'.
Entertainment Weekly says that Wilson, who plays Dwight Schrute, is the "odds-on favourite" to succeed departing lead star Steve Carell, who plays bungling boss Michael Scott.
The show's co-executive producer and Wilson's co-star Mindy Kaling, who plays Kelly Kapoor, told Entertainment Weekly: "I’d love to see Rainn Wilson in that position.
"Dwight has become so nuanced - you actually care about him now. I think if [we set up that storyline well] this coming season, he would be a fantastic boss.
"But that's my dream. It certainly hasn’t been approved by people that are more powerful than me and who make those kinds of decisions."
