'Birds of a Feather' star Pauline Quirke has filmed her first scenes for her new role in ITV's 'Emmerdale', and admitted it was an emotional experience.
The Press Association reports that Quirke will make her debut as Hazel, the mother of Jackson Walsh (Marc Silcock), on screens next month.
Quirke told The Press Association: "My first scene was in the village - that village is unbelievable. My mum absolutely loved 'Emmerdale' and so to get on set and actually see that Woolpack, it was actually really emotional so I had a little cry. But then I pulled myself together!"
Quirke's character Hazel originally plans to only make a brief visit to Emmerdale, but a storyline develops involving her son and his love interest Aaron Livesy (Danny Miller).
