Louis Walsh has spoken out to praise Katy Perry following the star's stint as a guest judge on 'The X Factor'.
Perry became the third guest panellist on Monday when the show's auditions reached Dublin.
Walsh said that the singer did an "amazing job" in the role of filling in for Dannii Minogue, when speaking to the Evening Herald.
He added: "She was fantastic, she was one of the best guest judges we've ever had."
Walsh also said that he was excited over the standard of talent on the day, singling out a girl called Rebecca and a 50-year-old Tallaght resident named Mary as ones to watch.
Walsh said: "Rebecca was brilliant, she came back especially from a wedding in Spain to be there and she was great. Another one who was exceptional was a lady from Tallaght who blew everyone away."
