Kelly Brook was dumped by Danny Cipriani because she was too high-maintenance, according to one report.
Reveal magazine reports the England rugby player has allegedly claimed that the 22-month romance ended because of Brook's annoying habits.
A source said: "She used to ring him up to eight times a day but Danny didn't have anything to say after the third call. Once she even rang him to say she couldn't find her earrings.
"And when they did go out, she would take up to three hours to get ready, this would infuriate him."
The 30-year-old actress is believed to have been stunned when Cipriani told her that it was over, even though she felt the relationship had probably run its course.
The source added: "Kelly knew it was coming but it was still a shock to her, she is unlikely to have ever been the one dumped before. They made a great couple but as time wore on they couldn't handle each other's traits."
Brook is apparently trying to forget about the separation while on holiday in the Caribbean with friends.
