Singer Katy Perry has revealed that she had to get 17 stitches after falling at a party in Canada last Sunday night.
The popstar, who is engaged to comedian Russell Brand, posted a message on her Twitter page asking her fans to make allowances for her dancing as a result of the injury.
Perry fell and cut herself at the MuchMusic Video Awards afterparty at the weekend.
Writing about the incident on Twitter, she said: "17 stitches later... Don't make fun of my dance moves tomorrow."
"That's what got me here in the 1st place! Thanks for the souvenir Canada!"
She also said that was "thinking about getting a candy cane walker made" and asked fans to dance along at her next performances because she wouldn't be as mobile as usual.
