Singer Peter Andre and boxer Lennox Lewis have turned down 'Strictly Come Dancing' - leaving bosses fearing that they will struggle to find big name celebrities to take part this year.
According to The Sun, Peter was top of BBC1's list because of his soaring popularity since he split from ex-wife Jordan.
A top source told the paper: "Strictly really wanted Peter Andre. He's got a massive fan base and would be a huge draw for the show.
"He's also got a body to die for - think of the fun they could have had in wardrobe."
But Andre has already booked an arena tour to promote his album Revelation, and can't find the time to rehearse. Instead he apparently told them to phone back next year when he has got more time.
Boxing star Lennox was targeted by bosses who hoped he would prove as big a draw as boxer Joe Calzaghe last year.
The source added: "He's a huge icon but a bit of a mystery personally which made him perfect."
But he dismissed the idea out of hand - telling producers he's a serious sports tar, not a reality TV wannabe.
Bosses have already been knocked back by the Duchess of York and UK rugby star Will Carling.
Now their top secret shortlist features a string of soap stars, including three former 'EastEnders' stars - Tiana Benjamin, who played Chelsea Fox in the BBC1 soap, Rob Kazinsky (Sean Slater) and Charlie Clements (Bradley Branning).
'Hollyoaks' beauty Carley Stenson (Steph Cunningham) is also being considered after co-star and on-off boyfriend Ricky Whittle - last year's runner-up - put in a good word with producers.
