RTÉ Weather presenter Nuala Carey has won the celebrity showbiz challenge to mark the launch of new website RTÉ Ten.
The television presenter impressed with her knowledge of showbiz trivia, beating many of her colleagues in the RTÉ Newsroom, as well as several RTÉ radio and 'Fair City' stars, with a score of 7 out of 10.
This left Nuala in a tie-break situation with several other personalities, but in the final of the quiz she emerged victorious.
The quiz hopefuls included television stars Ryan Tubridy, who scored 4 out 10, Bláthnaid Ní Chofaigh (who scored 5) and Marty Whelan (who got 3 answers right).
Representing for RTÉ Radio 1 and RTÉ 2fm were Ruth Scott (who scored 6), Ronan Collins (who scored 1), Rick O'Shea (who got 6 right answers), Larry Gogan (who scored 1), Cormac Battle (who got 5 out of 10), Dave Fanning (who scored 7), Michael Cahill (who notched up 7 right answers) and Laura Woods (who also got 7 correct answers).
A number of 'Fair City' stars also took part in the quiz, with Tom Hopkins (Christy) scoring 1, Alan Devine (Louie) scoring 4 and Jenny Kavanagh (Cleo) scoring 3.
The RTÉ News and Weather team were also well represented in the quiz. Jean Byrne scored 4 out of 10, Eileen Dunne scored 3 out of 10 and Anne Cassin answered 4 questions correctly. But unfortunately newscaster Bryan Dobson was the only person to get zero points in the showbiz quiz.
