'The Hills' stars Heidi and Spencer Pratt have separated.
A representative for Heidi Pratt confirmed the separation to USMagazine.com but said nothing legal had been filed.
"Heidi is going through a difficult time and hopes people respect her privacy," the representative said.
The couple wed in April of last year.
The split was first reported on TMZ.com last Friday.
