Poison singer Bret Michaels has said he is in the running to replace Simon Cowell as a judge on 'American Idol'.
TMZ.com reports that Cowell told the crowd at his Biloxi, Mississippi show on Friday night: "I can't say this is true yet, 'cause I don't know. Next year they asked me to possibly be the judge on 'American Idol'."
TVGuide.com reports that the network behind the talent show, Fox, declined to comment.
Michaels, who is recovering from a brain haemorrhage, appeared on the final of 'American Idol' last week, performing a duet with finalist Casey James.
