Grainne Seoige has seemingly fuelled rumours that she is on the verge of inking a deal which will see her on the GMTV sofa later this year.
The RTÉ star told The Herald she is unable to confirm or deny the persistent rumours.
Responding to speculation she is a "shoo-in" to become part of the show's much hyped new line-up in the autumn, Gainne told the paper: "You can't ask me that cheeky question. I can't talk about it."
The 36-year-old enjoyed a hugely successful trial run on the show last month and ITV bosses are rumoured to be in the midst of ironing out the final details of an offer for the Galway-born presenter.
Grainne admitted to the paper that she had a great time and got on really well with the other presenters on 'GMTV', including outgoing host Ben Shephard.
"Ben is just fantastic, he's really great," she said.
But despite Grainne's desire to keep her lips sealed for the moment, a close friend of the presenter reportedly said: "There is huge interest in Grainne in the UK and it would be crazy to ignore it."
