'The X Factor' presenter Dermot O'Leary has again said he would love to host The Rose of Tralee this year.

Speaking on 'The Will Leahy Show' on RTÉ 2fm, the television presenter said that he would be interested in taking over the show following Ray D'Arcy's departure.

When asked if he would like to host the event, O'Leary said: "Hell yeah, when do I start?"

He also said: "RTÉ, I'm here in Dublin. Come and talk to me."

Referring to the show, he said: "There's just something about it. I can't quite put my finger on it."

After asking what dates this year's Rose of Tralee would be on, O'Leary said: "I'd be free around then."

He also joked at the end of the interview: "I can't think now. All I'm thinking about is The Rose of Tralee!"
