Television presenter Davina McCall has said that she is "thrilled" to be hosting new gameshow 'The Million Pound Drop'.
According to Digital Spy, the host said: "I'm thrilled to be hosting a show that feels this exciting."
"As well as being live, each of the contestants will be starting the show with a million pounds and it's just down to them whether they get to keep it or not."
"I'm sure this will guarantee a tense and nervewracking week for everyone."
At the beginning of the show contestants will be given their £1 million prize money and must then answer a series of questions in order to hang on to the money.
While answering the questions the money will be placed on trapdoors, with wrong answers resulting in the trap doors opening and the money disappearing.
