'The Wire' star Idris Elba has said he would like to have a cameo role in 'EastEnders'.
Elba, who played Stringer Bell in 'The Wire', grew up in the East End of London and said 'EastEnders' is his mother's favourite show.

He told the Press Association: "I love being in things my mum likes."
The actor, whose new detective series 'Luther' began this week on BBC One, joked: "I'd play the ghost of Dirty Den or something. Or Dirty Den's long-lost, adopted son from a previous marriage."
