'Emmerdale's Nicola De Souza reportedly lands herself in a parenting nightmare when she is arrested for child abuse.
According to The Sun, Nicola gets accused of biting Viv Hope's toddler Cathy in a storyline next month.
The "abuse" comes about when Nicola, played by Nicola Wheeler, sees her baby Angelica being bitten by little Cathy.
She tries to teach the child a lesson by gently biting her back, but Viv (Deena Payne) finds out and calls cops.
The situation soon spirals and social services get involved.
A source told the paper: "Nicola is furious with herself when she realises what she's done.
"That split-second decision could mean losing her daughter as Angelica could be taken into care.
"Angelica is her whole world. When it occurs to her that social services could get involved, she's horrified.
"It's a really tense time for Nicola - being labelled a child abuser is her worst nightmare."
