'The One Show' host Adrian Chiles is reportedly reconsidering his BBC future after bosses confirmed Chris Evans would replace him on Fridays.

According to The Sun Chiles, 43, has taken a week off to think - and could quit.

A friend told the paper: "He doesn't like how this situation has been handled."

It was suggested in November that Evans was being lined up for the Friday slot alongside Christine Bleakley.

It was confirmed yesterday that he will start this summer.

BBC1's Jay Hunt said: "Chris will be a great addition." But bosses want Chiles to stay.

Evans’ appointment comes more than a decade after he resigned from his BBC radio show on air after the station refused to let him have Fridays off to present Channel 4's TFI Friday.
