Keith Duffy has committed himself to 'Coronation Street' following claims earlier this week that he was quitting to focus on Boyzone.
It was claimed in The People on Sunday that he had decided to leave the show following a brief return in the role of womaniser Ciaran McCarthy.
Digital Spy reports that Duffy has spoken out to confirm the situation and that Sunday’s report was "news to him".
On the show’s official website he said "I am happy and very excited to be working on 'Coronation Street'.
"I've got some great storylines coming up and whilst I do have commitments to Boyzone, I have been able to combine the two things very well. I love playing Ciaran!"
Duffy reappeared on screens in February.
