RTÉ presenter Baz Ashmawy, 32, has confirmed that he and his girlfriend Tanya Evans are to become parents for the first time.
The Evening Herald reports that the couple, who have been dating for nearly two years, are "absolutely thrilled" with their good news.
Friends told the paper that the baby is due in June.
"This is the first baby for Baz and while it obviously took a bit of getting used to, he couldn't be any happier. He has really calmed down over the past year and doesn't go out half as much as he used to. Who knows, it could even be the making of him!", a friend added.
The former ‘How Low Can You Go’ star will be seen on RTÉ screens soon with his new series 'Extreme Worlds'.
The programme will see him flung into a variety of tough situations.
The show, which hits our screens in May, will follow Baz as he works a shift with the New York Fire Department, visits a maximum security prison in Oklahoma and works on an Irish fishing trawler.
