'Coronation Street's Tupele Dorgu has said she decided to leave the show because her character "wasn't developing".
Tupele, who plays knicker factory worker Kelly Crabtree, announced her departure from Weatherfield last November.
This week sees her exit the series after Kelly is fired from Underworld for giving confidential information to Nick Tilsley.
Tupele told 'Loose Women': "In terms of the character, I wasn't doing as much as I wanted and she wasn't developing."
She continued: "And there are other things I wanted to do and I can't do them as Kelly Crabtree."
As for her future career, the 32-year-old actress said she'd like to try musicals, theatre, and more TV.
"I'd love to be in a smaller cast so you can interact with the people you work with," she said.
