Reports claim Sandra Bullock has cancelled her appearance at the London premiere of 'The Blind Side' after a model told an American magazine she had an affair with the star's husband.
It comes almost two weeks after Bullock won a Best Actress Academy Award for her performance in the movie.
The 45-year-old actress says in a statement released by Warner Bros UK that she can't attend the event for "unforeseen personal reasons".
She goes on to apologise for cancelling her commitment and to thank people for their support of the film.
It was reported on Thursday that Bullock pulled out of the premiere following claims her husband, 40-year-old Jesse James, had a lengthy affair.
The brunette, aged in her 20s, told US Magazine In Touch she had a months-long affair with James while Bullock was shooting 'The Blind Side' in 2009.
Bullock and James, who have been married five years, are yet to comment on the cheating allegation but James has cancelled his Twitter account, which he uses on a daily basis.
James praised his wife when she won her Best Actress Oscar, saying: "I'm so proud of her.
He told Us Magazine at the show: "She deserves it more than anybody."
Sandra Bullock, according to the Daily Mail, is just the latest in a long line of leading actresses to win an Academy Award and fall victim to the "Oscars curse".
British actress Kate Winslet and her director husband Sam Mendes announced their separation earlier this week. Winslet won the best actress Oscar for her role in The Reader last year.
Hilary Swank split from husband Chad Lowe just after she won the same award in 2004 and Reese Witherspoon split from actor Ryan Phillippe after winning the Oscar in 2006.
