Talkshow host Jeremy Kyle has spoken about his delight at getting several 'Coronation Street' cast members to perform a sketch to mark the 1,000th edition of his show today.

Digital Spy reports that the Jeremy Kyle show marked its anniversary today and to celebrate it showed a sketch featuring Jack P Shepherd, Michelle Keegan and Ben Price who play David Platt, Tina McIntyre and Nick Tilsley on 'Coronation Street'.

The trio will discussed David’s accusation that his half-brother Nick has kissed his ex-girlfriend and also featured an audience contribution from Graeme Proctor (Craig Gazey). The sketch was unscripted.

Speaking on 'This Morning' Kyle said "[My producers] know that I'm a massive Corrie fan. It's the only thing I really watch. I Sky+ it and I watch it on Sunday night and I'm the biggest, biggest Corrie fan."

He continued: "It [lasted] about 15 minutes and all I can tell you is that there's a lie detector and it's genuinely real. It's brilliant, it's fantastic. They stayed in character the whole time and for me, it was everything I could ever have dreamt of."
