'Ugly Betty' may have recently gotten the axe but it looks as if the central character will finally get rid of her braces for the end of the fourth and final season.
The Daily Mail reports that America Ferrera, who plays the title character Betty Suarez, was pictured filming scenes in New York yesterday without her trademark braces. The scenes which are believed to be set in London saw Ferrara flashing an all-white smile.
Also on set were co-stars Becki Newton, Ana Ortiz and Scottish actress Ashley Jensen.
ABC made the shock announcement in January that the popular series would be ending.
Ferrera has said she is finding it difficult to accept the show is ending. Speaking to Parade magazine she said "I'm staying in denial for now - I'll deal with all those emotions in a little bit. I imagine that when we finally wrap it's not going to be a dry-eyed goodbye.
"I've lived with this character who I've loved from day one and I have only grown to feel more connected to her."
She continued "Her entire journey was about a transformation, kind of coming into her womanhood and owning herself both physically and emotionally."
