Footballer Ashley Cole is said to have finally broken his silence regarding his split from wife Cheryl Cole
Cole, 29, who spoke from an injury clinic in the South of France, was reportedly very close to tears as he spoke about being ditched by wife Cheryl over infidelity allegations.
"My life is ruined," the Sun quoted him as saying.
Speaking to newspaper Ashley commented: "I just want to be left alone - everything's gone so wrong."
The Chelsea star is currently recuperating after suffering a broken ankle. However, he hinted that he has been distracted at the facility in recent days, saying: "I'm meant to be here for treatment."
Ashley was pictured without his wedding ring earlier this week after 'X Factor' judge Cheryl reportedly told his mother Sue that she will not take him back.
A source said: "His frustration is really showing. He's lost arguably the most attractive girl in Britain and his football career is on ice."
Yesterday, it was reported that Cheryl feels "scared" over the split but knows "deep down" she is doing the right thing.
