Lost - Questions will remain unanswered

'Lost' bosses Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have revealed that many of the questions posed during the run of the show are never going to be answered because they quite simply have run out of time.

Speaking to 'Lost' fans at a TV festival in Beverly Hills, Carlton Cuse said "There are a lot of little questions that we don't have time to answer within the time we have left. Ultimately, the way we look at it is if the characters don't care about that question then we the storytellers don't care about that question.

"Does this mean big questions will be left hanging? Not necessarily. But a few smaller ones might be. "For instance, we're not going to stop in the finale and explain who the "Economist" was who Sayid shot on the golf course," said Cuse.

A few lingering mysteries would be fuel enough to keep the intensity of the conversation going for a while. According to Lindelof, those latter fans should be all set.

"It's more a choice for us of how to tell the story then it is whether or not to tell it all, and now that we are breaking the finale we are not at all having the experience of 'Oh my god, we forgot to do this,'" Lindelof explains.
