Thieves targeted Cheryl and Ashley’s Cole’s mansion yesterday after believing the house was empty, according to reports.
A report in The Sun says the raiders were intending to steal Cheryl Cole’s wedding rings, valued at £310,000.
It is thought that Ashley Cole called the police after being woken when the thieves forced a window.
Ashley was expected to be away on holiday, but had stayed at home to rest his ankle. Cheryl is currently in Los Angeles.
Cheryl has two wedding rings. Ashley bought the first ring for their 2006 wedding, and the second in 2008 after the couple patched up their relationship following an infidelity scandal.
