Cheryl Cole has raised fresh speculation that her marriage to footballer Ashley Cole is in trouble as she flew to Los Angeles without wearing her wedding ring.
The singer, 26, instead wore a gold band on the third finger of her left hand as she flew from Heathrow for "writing and recording sessions".
The singer gave a strong performance of Fight For This Love at last night's Brit Awards but left her wedding ring at home.

Her footballer husband Ashely has been at the centre of claims of mobile phone text exchanges with two women as well as a claim of infidelity with one of the women.
The Daily Mail reports that her husband did not attend the event but that she was supported from the sidelines by her mother and Girls Aloud bandmates Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh.
Her performance, which included a brief excerpt from the 1993 dance anthem 'Show Me Love' sung by one of her backing singers, received a standing ovation from the crowd.
Following the performance, host Peter Kay quipped "You've got to fight for this love - never a truer word spoken."
Cole lost out in the Best British Single category last night to newcomers JLS.
