Adrian Chiles is reportedly threatening to quit 'The One Show' over plans to replace him on Friday night's episode with Chris Evans.

Chiles, 42, who is in crunch talks about a new deal at the BBC, is said to be upset at plans to replace him on the final episode each week.

According to the Daily Mail, BBC bosses want to bring Evans, 43, in to sit alongside Christine Bleakley for a special hour-long episode on Fridays.

But sources have revealed that the moves have unsettled Chiles, as he begins talks about a new contract.

Insiders say he is uncomfortable with Evans being given the "pick of the bunch" slot for the week or being seen as his rival's 'warm up man'.

Senior sources also claim he does not think anyone else should be allowed to co-present with 31-year-old Bleakley on the show, as that is his role.
