'Emmerdale' star Alice Coulthard has said that she feels like she was "crying every day for three months" because of her character Maisie's storylines.
Maisie is currently finding it very difficult to cope with the revelation that her former boyfriend Ryan is actually her step-brother.
Speaking to the Daily Record, Coulthard said: "I felt like I was crying every day for three months."
"I'm sure it couldn't have been every day but she was crying during the build-up to falling in love with Ryan, then finding out he was her brother, then the breakdown you'll see this week and then going into rehab."
"Because I was really crying, my hair was breaking and my nails were breaking from all the stress."
"I think my body was actually thinking I was going through an awful trauma."
