'Dancing On Ice' judge Jason Gardiner is facing criticism for comments he made to competitor Sharron Davies on last night’s show.
When asked to comment on Davies performance with professional skater Pavel Aubrecht in which she wore a brown sparkly leotard, Gardiner said "You look like faecal matter that won't flush, that goes around and around but doesn't go anywhere."
The remark has drawn criticism from UK campaign group, Mediawatch, which promotes good taste and decency in broadcasting.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Mediawatch director Vivienne Pattinson said "It is bullying. This is supposed to be an entertainment show, and it is even more offensive on an entertainment show before the watershed which is watched by families.
"His comments were totally unnecessary and offensive and not what the viewer wants to see. At the very least he should apologise and the producers should think long and hard about where they want to take this programme."
