'Avatar' star Sam Worthington is in talks to play Dracula in a new vampire blockbuster.
The Hollywood Reporter says that the film will be directed by 'The Crow' director Alex Proyas.
It will explore the origins of the Dracula character, depicted as a flawed hero, and will mix fiction with the true story of Vlad the Impaler.
Worthington will next be seen in cinemas in 'Clash of the Titans'.
