Former One True Voice star Keith Semple has auditioned for the 'American Idol' panel.
The singer, who previously took part in 'Popstars: The Rivals', auditioned at the talent show's Chicago heats.
According to US reports, Semple, who hails from Northern Ireland, sang Bryan Adam's 'Heaven', earning a golden ticket for the Hollywood stage of the show.
However, according to a report in the Chicago Sun Times, Semple was later eliminated from the show due to visa issues.
He reportedly told the newspaper: ''Yes, it was a huge disappointment."
"But that's just the way it is... I'm happy I'm with a great band, and I'm only looking forward.''
Semple currently performs with the group 7th Heaven.
His One True Voice bandmate Daniel Pearce auditioned for 'The X Factor' last year but was eliminated during the Judges' Houses stage of the show.
