Former One True Voice star Keith Semple has auditioned for the 'American Idol' panel. 
The singer, who previously took part in 'Popstars: The Rivals', auditioned at the talent show's Chicago heats. 
According to US reports, Semple, who hails from Northern Ireland, sang Bryan Adam's 'Heaven', earning a golden ticket for the Hollywood stage of the show. 
However, according to a report in the Chicago Sun Times, Semple was later eliminated from the show due to visa issues. 
He reportedly told the newspaper: ''Yes, it was a huge disappointment."
"But that's just the way it is... I'm happy I'm with a great band, and I'm only looking forward.''
Semple currently performs with the group 7th Heaven. 
His One True Voice bandmate Daniel Pearce auditioned for 'The X Factor' last year but was eliminated during the Judges' Houses stage of the show.
