Bono will join Sting, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera and Alicia Keys to perform at George Clooney's planned benefit concert for victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
Speaking at the Golden Globes ceremony at the Beverly Hilton Hotel last night, Clooney said that more than 40 celebrities are expected to attend the 22 January 'Hope for Haiti' event.
According to the Press Association, the actor said the aim of the benefit is "to show the people of Haiti that the whole world is paying attention".
The concert, which Clooney and Haitian-born singer Wyclef Jean will host, will be broadcast on more than a dozen networks.
The show will benefit the Red Cross, Unicef, Oxfam America, Partners in Health and Jean's Yele Haiti Foundation.
He added that songs from the participating artists will also be available on iTunes, with proceeds going to the relief effort.
