'Coronation Street's Gail Platt will reportedly find herself accused of murder this year, the soap's producer has said.
Gail, played by Helen Worth, was recently seen tying the knot with the debt-ridden kitchen fitter (Reece Dinsdale).
Speaking on ITV1's 'This Morning', producer Kim Crowther said Gail will find herself in a "whole heap of trouble" when she returns alone from a romantic break to the Lakes.
Kim explained: "In order to escape his problems he starts to come up with a plan. He tries to embroil Gail in it when they go to their honeymoon in the Lakes, and when they go back for a Valentine's trip."
She went on: "Gail isn't so co-operative, and soon finds herself in a whole heap of trouble. She comes back from that trip alone, and lies about where Joe goes and it takes her down a very dark alley."
She added: "Gail does find herself accused of Joe's murder. The big question on everybody's tongue this winter will be 'Did Gail do it?'"
Without naming names, Kim also said murderess Tracy Barlow, played by returning Corrie star Kate Ford, will be seen in prison "with another favourite character who ends up in a situation we would never normally foresee".
