It has been announced that one of the characters on the ITV soap 'Emmerdale' will be murdered next week.

The Press Association reports that bigamist Mark Wylde (actor Maxwell Caulfield) will die in an hour-long episode on Thursday, 14 January.
The identity of his killer will also be revealed on the night.
Caulfield, whose departure from the soap had previously been announced, said of his time with the show: "It's been one of the best experiences of my career and I've had the opportunity to work with the loveliest group of people.
"To have the privilege of working with two knockout actresses [screen wives Amanda Donohoe and Kim Thomson] on a daily basis made Mark really fun to play."
