The final begins on BBC One at 6.35pm on Saturday, with Ricky Whittle and Natalie Lowe and Chris Hollins and Ola Jordan competing for the glitter ball trophy.
The Press Association says Forsyth told 'Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two' that he expected a "great climax" for the last show of the current series.
"It is building to a finish and as with everything, it is not how you start - it is how you finish. It looks like we are in for a great final. I am looking forward to it so much," he said.
Of the finalists, Forsyth said that Jordan and Hollins "fit like a glove" and that "the public adore them".
He described Whittle as "a classy dancer".
"He doesn't put a foot wrong," said Forsyth. "Right from the start, you could see the potential right away. He just slipped into it like he should always have been a dancer."
