'X Factor' winner Joe McElderry has said that he would be "gutted" to miss out on getting the Christmas No.1 with his new single 'The Climb'.
Speaking to BBC's 'Newsbeat', he said: "I'd be gutted if I didn't get number one but I feel so lucky to have won the competition and I can only try my best for the number one spot."

Referring to the campaign to get Rage Against the Machine to the top of the charts, he said: "I don't think it's that they're 'anti' I think that's just their opinion - they don't like the show."
"People are entitled to do that, if they don't like to watch it that's fair enough."
Speaking about his winning song, he said: "I think it's a really good song because it kind of explains the journey of 'The X Factor' - like the words.
"At first I was thinking, 'Oh, it's a bit of a strange choice' but I really love the song now."
