Hundreds of Jedward fans were reportedly left gutted last night after the Dublin pair didn’t get a chance to make an appearance in Lucan.

Fans were in a frenzy when it was rumoured that the 'X Factor' pair would visit the local Superquinn to meet and greet their loyal fans.

The twins were in Dublin to film a feature for the talent show from the minute their plane touched down in Dublin Airport a wild chase ensued with new leads on their location swiftly followed by dead ends.

According to the Daily Star, the pair made a whistle stop tour of the capital taking in Lesson Street’s Institute of Education where they will sit their Leaving Cert.

Jedward signed autographs and posed for pictures with pupils before heading to UCD’s Belfield campus.

Next stop was the O2 – where they will participate in the 'X Factor' tour next March and they were also rumoured to have visited Brown Thomas on Grafton Street.

'X Factor' judge Louis Walsh shot down rumours his protégés John and Edward Grimes, known collectively as 'Jedward', were due to appear as Westlife turned on the Christmas lights on Grafton Street, Dublin.

However, the pop guru said he feels they have what it takes to become multi-millionaires in America.

In an interview with the Irish Independent, the pop impresario said offers were already flooding in for the twins who have captured attention with their dubious singing talents, energetic dancing and sky-high blonde quiffs.

"It could be TV. There's people talking about them doing phone deals, pantomimes, books, records, hair deals," he said.

"I think if they were in America they would be multi, multi-millionaires. Because they're so clean cut, they're so nice. They're unique. Everything about them," he said.
